What is the AlgoRhythms Fingers on Key Project?

AlgoRhythm is a collection of 111 hand made 1/1 NFT. No two AlgoRhythms are the same or are computer generated– each has a unique set of traits (some more rare than others) which make them each unique. It is extremely important for me as an Artist and an Art Educator that I am up to date on the latest shifts in our industry, especially opportunities that will provide financial sustainability, growth an ownership. The NFT landscape is revolutionizing the artwork and soon the education community. This project will provide me primary data to create a curriculum and supporting resources that will support educators, students, and emerging artist.

What are NFT's

NFTs (or “non-fungible tokens”) are a special kind of crypto asset in which each token is unique — as opposed to “fungible” assets like Bitcoin and dollar bills, which are all worth exactly the same amount. Because every NFT is unique, they can be used to authenticate ownership of digital assets like artworks, recordings, and virtual real estate or pets.

Why Algorand?

This was a really exciting opportunity to work on the Algorand platform. For me as a former Geography teacher it was important to me to create a project that will directly benefit my community but also a great way to enact positive environmental change. Algorand’s carbon negative approach coupled with the tree planting initiative meant this was the perfect opportunity to transition to releasing work as NFTs. I also believe in Algorand because of its ease of use, virtually no fees, and sales analytics provided by NFT Explorer.
